What a great weekend doing our Tracking Weekend Workshop!

We started out Saturday morning with going over the 4 phases of nose work and scent detection. Then did article grid searches and other types of scent detection with different scents.

We then covered Master Tracks , straight tracks and corner tracks! Everyone had a blast and the dogs where very tired by the end of Saturday.

Sunday we did forest tracks, this is really where the dogs scenting practice from the previous day kicked in. The forest tracks where so fun! Every dog was right on track, focused and precise. Fran found 2 antler sheds in the first 3 forest tracks, and Luca, Mackenzie and Ollie found me hidden almost 1km away. The final track that I laid was very challenging with previous cross tracks, and 3 creek crossings. They all found me though!!!
